I haven't been doing much stash busting this week as the majority of it was spent in Maine for a business trip. However, I did get two quilts finished up this week. First, we have the baby quilt that I've been working on. I finished it up last Saturday morning actually and the baby was born Saturday afternoon. Talk about good timing!
I also finished up the binding on the Irish Rails quilt yesterday. Since I had counted both bindings already in the "stash used" bucket, there's no change in my stash reports. Here's the finished quilt (its not floating in the air...my husband is behind it and didn't want his picture included, so he held the quilt so it completely covered him).

What a nice baby quilt! And I love your Irish Rails too.
that was great timing on the baby quilt!! Nothing like leaving it till the last minute though!!
I have always liked rail fences.... and I love your 'floating' quilt - it is a great example of this blk. It looks great and I might have to move it up on the 'someday' list..... see you next week!!
hey Sarah!! Brenda again. I just wanted to clarify something!! I have not used 171 yrds of fabric, that is my stash count so far - that is what I have in my pile of stuff that I have counted so far!! I still have more to count, but this is where it's at this week, I have only used about 9 yrds this year. I have actually used more, but it's still in pieces, so until I get those quilt tops done, I am not counting the fabric used in them. When I finally get them counted though (meaning done!!) I will have a bigger used # then the 9 so far!!
thanks for visisitng my blog!!
