Cleaning....that's where! After many discussions, my husband and I have decided to sell our current house....hence the cleaning like mad and fixing stuff up to get it ready to sell.
We were contemplating doing some construction to make the kitchen/dining room better and to do some painting in our tall living room, but when it came down to it, we have a puny yard (less than 1/3 acre) and there's nothing we can do about it. So we've decided to put the house on the market and see if we can find somewhere with some more land.
We did find one house for sale that's still close by and its on 11 acres of land with a 2800 sq. ft. house. We like the idea of it and its at a good price because its going into foreclosure, but we need to make sure we sell our current house first. We DO NOT want two mortgages!
So the past two weeks have been spent doing all sorts of projects around the house that we would have done anyway, but we've had to speed up the timetable. We've had to finish up the crown molding, caulk the crown molding, caulk the bathtubs and windows (no leaks or anything, but just sealing the small cracks that happen due to houses shifting over time), cleaning everything, re-painting our front door, fixing our garage side door and various other stuff. We've also re-mulched all the planting beds and filled in some bare spots with annuals where some of our perennials didn't make it through the winter. Hopefully someone will like the house and want to buy it!
I did get two quilty things done this week. I was able to finish the binding on the big quilt I made and its now on our bed. Thankfully its still cool enough at night that we need a quilt. ;-) I was also able to cut all the fabric for the Rainbow quilt that I'll be making. The fabric is nice and neat in a plastic shoebox so that when I get my Bernina back from getting cleaned I'll be able to start sewing the squares together when I have a few minutes. Once I'm done sewing, the fabric will go back in the box so that things stay neat for showing the house.
Anyone want to buy a house?? :-) Let me know...I have a good one. hahaha
